The Family of Wells (of the Sixth House) has long been known on the planet of Betazed, as a family of unofficial Ambassadors, always trying to increase bonds or strengthen ties with other Races. The Wells had always enjoyed and encouraged other races to unite with The Federation in a hopes to further quadrant peace, and stability.

Scott Wells had always had enjoyed traveling with his family, but longed to see home more than once every few years. "Social Gatherings," are what his parents called the excursions made to each world, only spending a few weeks at the most. Mentally Scott has had to be aware of certain social buffers, and with different species has always tried to keep in mind the traditions/customs of each one. Having seen so many worlds that few children see at an early age, he unknowingly had the life that so many longed for.

At 18 he had informed his parents that he would be traveling to Earth, as a future Starfleet Officer. Ecstatic, they had made all the arrangements as they saw this as a great opportunity to increase relations, and contacts with The Federation. What caught them off guard was the field of Medicine that Scott had decided to pursue.

Having graduated from the Academy, he had made his way along several starships, mainly staying in the core of the Federation on humanitarian missions. However, something in the back of his mind prodded him to go and explore new races, and is hoping the adventure he yearns for lies on the USS Yorktown.
