Background: Born on a starship, Arron was raised a military brat. He traveled from post to post with his parents, both career officers within Star Fleet. Arron developed a sharp mind and like his father is considered loyal to his uniform and his sense of duty to that uniform is never in doubt. He joined the Academy at 16 years of age, his father able to pull some strings, Arron was the youngest in his class by a year.

Arron was an exemplary student and was quickly tapped by Academy brass as one to watch. As he excelled each year, he made many friends and contacts within Star Fleet, relationships that would serve him well as he began a career.

Having just turned 20, Arron graduated with full honors, top of his class. He was given his choice of assignments right out of the gate. Arron chose to serve aboard the USS Yorktown, at the time a newly commissioned Galaxy Class Starship.

He was a helm officer for the vessel, when he began his career. Arron ended up moving through ranks and managed to keep his assignment onboard the Yorktown. At the age of 45 Arron was finally awarded the captain seat after serving as first officer for his original captain for 6 years prior. His captain had decided to retire, and between his captains glowing recommendation and Arron's father, now a Fleet admiral, one of the highest ranking men in Star Fleet, found himself sitting in the Captains chair. He has now been serving on the Yorktown for 28 years.

Drexel IS the Yorktown. This is his ship through and through and his crew has the utmost respect for him, many of them serving with him for a great number of years.
